City of Renton to prune low-hanging Maple Trees along Maple Valley Highway
Work expected to run from September 27-29 and close one westbound lane
Renton, WA - The City of Renton will begin pruning 56 maple trees along Maple Valley Highway
starting on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. The project will close one westbound lane along the
row of trees.
Pruning the low-hanging red and Norway maple trees will provide a minimum of 15 feet of
clearance over the highway and remove branches that have grown through the netting along
the 10th fairway of the Maplewood Golf Course. The project is expected to take three days and
be completed by Thursday, September 29.
