Boyd: Here are the two change orders on the Renton Pavilion. The density revision change order was based on a bid density of Light Hazard (.10) to a revised density re- quested by Corey Thomas, Renton Fire, of Ordinary Hazard II (.20). This density lowers the allowable square footage per sprinkler head. For this reason, we had to add 10 more lines and 30 more heads in addi- tion to the increased density, in addition to increase pipe size. The dry system change order is a result of Corey Thomas's request to cover the overhangs over 4'. Here are some pro and cons of a dry vs. antifreeze system for your information. Dry- Pros— Little maintenance once system is installed, requires winterization and annual testing Cons— Possibility of false trip Antifreeze - Pros— No false trips Cons— State and water dept. require a Reduced Principle Double Check Valve Assembly, this installation would require two separate systems, cost more to install and preventative maintenance, annual test requires concentration test. - ROM for these antifreeze systems are $11,000.
