Food Trucks, Cool Entertainment, Beer & Wine Garden and Pop-
Up Shop set for downtown Renton during new Pop-Up Piazza
Pop into downtown Renton the first Wednesday of each month from July through October from
5-7pm for an exciting array of food trucks, a tasty beer & wine garden, dazzling entertainment
and pop-up shop during the new Pop-Up Piazza. The first Pop-Up will take place on Wednesday,
July 1, at the downtown Piazza Park, S. 3rd and Burnett Avenue.
“The Pop-Up Piazza adds a new dimension of fun and excitement to our downtown,” said Mayor
Denis Law. “Thanks to a dynamic year-round schedule of festivals and special events, downtown
Renton is becoming a popular entertainment destination.”
The first Pop-Up Piazza on July 1 will feature an Hawaiian theme and will help launch the Renton
Chamber of Commerce’s Aloha Saturday’s promotion. Featured July 1 Pop-Up Piazza activities
include:
- Food Trucks including Happy Grillmore and K.C. DEEZ BBQ;
- Free musical entertainment from Tribal Order and Laci Jane & P.O. Boxx;
- A beer and wine garden to benefit the Renton Chamber of Commerce;
- A pop-up shop featuring Hawaiian Island Creations apparel from Island Vibe; and,
- Hawaiian Shirt contest.
The event is family friendly and free parking is provided during the event at the City Center
Parking Garage. Enter the garage on S. 2nd Street, north of Piazza Park.
The Pop-Up Piazza will continue through October 7th and each month will feature a different
theme, food trucks and entertainment.
The Pop-Up Piazza is sponsored by the Renton Community Marketing Campaign, which includes
the Renton Chamber of Commerce, Renton Visitors Connection, City of Renton, Renton School
District, Renton Technical College, and UW Medicine/Valley Medical Center, with the support of
the Renton Pavilion Event Center and Rain City Catering.
