The festival will feature local artists, music, dance, food and activities. “The Renton Multicultural Festival is a great opportunity for our residents to celebrate and experience the different cultures that make up our community, and learn more about their neighbors and their heritage,” says Mayor Denis Law. “We hope to see you in Renton to enjoy the fun, food and entertainment.” Opening night Friday, September 30, will feature Performances through Art at the Carco Theatre from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, October 1, will highlight Power of Play, as Renton comes alive to celebrate music, dance, and art, and enjoy food and stories from all over the world. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in games and activities and other multicultural experiences. Saturday’s events will start at 11 a.m. and run through 3 p.m. at both the Renton Pavilion Event Center and Piazza Park in downtown Renton. This family friendly festival is FREE to the public.
