AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO AGREEMENT FOR GENE COULON
MEMORIAL BEACH PARK FACILITY STRUCTURAL REPAIRS
THIS AMENDMENT, dated Marche 2018, is by and between the City of Renton (the "City"), a
Washington municipal corporation, and PND Engineers, Inc. ("Consultant"). The City and the
Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the "Parties." Once fully executed
by the Parties,this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties.
Whereas,the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-17-124, dated
June 13, 2017,to provide necessary services for the Gene Coulon Park Facility Structural Repairs
(referred to herein as the "Agreement");
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work and
compensation, and time for performance in order to provide additional design services to
include phasing design, coordination with the City and City's lessee (Ivar's Restaurant),
review/adjustment of the cost estimates, and any required analysis.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-17-124 is amended as follows:
1. Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add and modify the Work, as
specified in Exhibit A-2,which is attached and incorporated herein.
2. Time of Performance: Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended pursuant to the
schedule(s) set forth in Exhibits A, A-1 and A-2. All Work shall be performed by no later
than July 1, 2019.
3. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased from $219,655.00 to $234,655.00,
plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be
paid based upon Work actual performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified
in CAG 17-124 Exhibit B and Exhibit A-2 which is attached and incorporated herein.
4. All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF,the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Agreement as of the date
last signed by the Parties below.

Subject:Coulon Park Structural Repairs-Scope Adjustment
Good Afternoon Todd,
Pursuant to our recent follow up conversation regarding the public access phasing for the Ivar's Deck repair,we propose
a Time and Materials budget of$15,000 for additional drawings,analysis,documentation and coordination with the City
to support the necessary public access phasing in the construction documents. In addition,we have provided within the
budget,additional time for construction administration due to the phasing.
Our deliverable as part of this scope adjustment will be an access phasing plan,to be included in the bid documents.The
phasing plan will include notations of project phase areas as well as phasing notes addressing timing,public access,
public safety, etc.,which will be correlated with the proposed work and schedule for the Ivar's Restaurant Remodel
project,completed by others.
This proposed scope adjustment does not alter the project schedule.
If you find this approach acceptable,please provide an Addendum for the work.
