Painting of Longhorn Steer (suth facade) and star behind bucking bronco (east facade). Arts
Commission Chair Pat Pepper reported via Email on 7-30-2007 that the Arts Commission voted to
approve the exemptions from the sign code.

Hi Jennifer, yes Renton River Days was fun and I was just getting ready to e-mail you our results. The RMAC has had a chance to go
over the request information and sketch and reply with an approve or disapprove.
The RMAC has voted to approve the longhorn steer and the star behind the bucking bronco that fall outside the sign code and into
the Arts Commission's view.

Hope you had a wonderful Renton River Days festival weekend. I saw you rush by in the parade .. .looking busy as ever.
Hopefully you had some time to enjoy the festival food and fun'
Gina from Renton Western Wear just called and was wondering what the final vote for the Arts Commission approval
was??? I'm curious too -can we provide them with a thumbs up?

Please find the attached approval from the Renton Municipal Arts Commission for the Renton Western
Wear building project in Downtown Renton. Renton Western Wear will be repainting their building,
replacing wall signs and current graphics with updated images. The Arts Commission was asked to
approve the "art images" for the cowboy on the horse and long horn bull image (see attached sketches).
The owners, Gina Kavesh or Jerry Kavesh, will be submitting sign permits soon (if they haven't already)
and are aware of this approval.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information to allow this project to move
forward.
