ADDENDUM NO. 3-18 TO LAG-13-002
Between City of Renton and REACH
THIS ADDENDUM No. 3 to Lease Agreement LAG-13-002 (Addendum No. 3) is effective upon
being signed ("Effective Date") by both the City of Renton (City or Owner), a Washington
municipal corporation, and Renton Ecumenical Association of Churches (REACH). The City and
REACH are referred to collectively in this Agreement as the "Parties."
WHEREAS, the Parties entered into a Lease Agreement LAG-13-002 ("Lease Agreement") dated
January 30, 2013, in which REACH agreed to perform specific beneficial services within the
leased space;
WHEREAS, the Parties recently extended the term of the Lease Agreement through January
2020 due to a mutual interest in REACH continuing to lease space from the City for the purpose
of performing the services/duties outlined in Section 11.7 of the Lease Agreement;
WHEREAS, REACH currently lacks funds to continue performing the services contemplated
within the Lease Agreement. REACH requested the City provide it with a one-time $40,000
payment to enable its continuation of operations and programs while it takes steps to reduce
its overhead and raise additional funding to ensure long term financial feasibility of the
organization;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11.10.A of the Lease Agreement, REACH has the right to
discontinue its operations and terminate the Lease Agreement by providing sixty-days' notice of
its intent to do so;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual terms and covenants in this Addendum and
other good and valuable consideration, the Parties agree to the following:
SECTION 1. The City agrees to pay REACH forty-thousand dollars ($40,000) within fifteen
days of the Effective Date of this Addendum No. 3.
SECTION 2. In exchange for the compensation provided pursuant to Section 1, REACH agrees
to continue performing the services/duties described in Section 11.7 of the Lease Agreement
without interruption for no less than 120 days. During such time, REACH agrees to take all
reasonable steps to reduce overhead costs and obtain additional funding from sources other
than the City of Renton to enable it to maintain fiscal sustainability and continued operations
for the remaining term of the Lease Agreement.
SECTION 3. All terms and conditions of the Lease Agreement not amended by this
Addendum No. 3 shall remain in full force and effect and are ratified and re- confirmed. To the
extent any term(s) and/or conditions of the Lease Agreement conflicts with any term(s) and/or

condition(s) of this Addendum No. 3, the term(s) and/ or condition(s) of this Addendum No. 3
shall control.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties agree that this Addendum No. 3, once executed takes effect
on the Effective Date noted above.
