NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Renton City Council has fixed the 4th day of May 2026, at 7:00
p.m. as the date and time for a public hearing to be held in the seventh floor Council Chambers of
Renton City Hall, 1055 S. Grady Way, Renton, 98057, to consider the following:
Solicit public input regarding Ordinance No. 6187: An Ordinance of the City of
Renton, Washington, establishing a six-month moratorium on the acceptance of
processing applications for the change of use, establishment, expansion, or
development of facilities for the detention, transportation, or food services for
people detained by local, state, or federal law enforcement, setting a public
hearing, declaring an emergency, providing for severability, and establishing an
effective date.
Additionally, this meeting is also being offered as a hybrid meeting on May 4, 2026, at 7 p.m. by
means of a Zoom video-conference web application. For those wishing to attend by Zoom, please

If you wish to speak during the Public Hearing, it is requested that you provide your name and
email address to Judith Subia, Chief of Staff, at jsubia@rentonwa.gov or by calling 425-430-6575 by
5 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026, so that the meeting information can be provided to you prior to
the start of the meeting. Alternatively, written comments on this topic can be submitted to
cityclerk@rentonwa.gov by 5:00 p.m. on May 4, 2026.
