Chair Jim Phelan called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.
2. Approval Of Minutes:
Moved by Bill Larson and Seconded by Andee Jorgensen to approve the April 25, 2017 meeting minutes.

Chair Jim Phelan called the meeting to order at 4:42 p.m.
2. Approval Of Minutes:

A. Deputy Fire Marshal 1-111 Eligibility List*and Examination Report**

e. Entry Level Firefighter Eligibility List Eligibility List Duration Change*
Civil Service Rule 10.05 currently states that the Entry Level Firefighter eligibility list is a 12 month,
continuous list. The RFA would like to have a list for the firefighter classification with a 5 month
duration and not have it be continuous. In the interim, the RFA will be interviewing candidates in
June 2017 and adding names to the existing list for the 5 month duration. The candidates will be
merged based on their oral board score and will expire in November. The RFA will conduct another
round of oral boards in the summer, early fall for a 5 month duration eligibility list;merging with
the existing names.
Andee lorgensen moved to change Rule 10.05 to allow for a five month period for the Entry Level
Firefighter eligibility list. Motion seconded by Jim Matthew. Motion Carried.
Andee requested a report back on the results of the change in September.
