Realign Beacon Coal Mine Road approach to intersection with the Monster Road SW roadway. Includes new roadway, curbs, sidewalk, drainage, street lighting, traffic signals, channelization, retaining walls and widening the existing bridge. Will serve growing north-south traffic demand. A preliminary design study was completed in 1999. The project cost is estimated at $32M, with the City's share estimated at $13M and King Co. at $19M. Phase 1 of improvements will address drainage problems between the Monster Rd Bridge and the City limits. Scope, cost and implementation schedule to be determined. Project is pending future grant funding availability. Cost beyond 2024 not shown.
