ORDINANCE NO. 4681
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
VACATING A PORTION OF S.E. 5TH STREET, NORTH OF MAPLE
VALLEY HIGHWAY (BRUCE ORFF - VAC-97-004) .
WHEREAS, a proper petition for vacating a portion of S.E.
5th Street north of Maple Highway was duly filed with the City
Clerk on or about February 20, 1997, and said petition having
been signed by the owners representing more than two-thirds (2/3)
of the property abutting upon such street sought to be vacated;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 3268 passed and
approved on July 7, 1997, and after due investigation did fix and
determine the day of July 28, 1997, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in
the City Council Chambers of the City of Renton to be the time
and place for a public hearing thereon, and the City Clerk having
given due notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law,
and all persons having been heard appearing in favor or in
opposition thereto, and the City Council having considered all
information and arguments presented to it; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and the Utilities
Committee of the City of Renton having duly considered said
CI petition for said vacation, and having found same to be in the

public interest and for the public benefit, and no injury or
!s4 damage to any person or properties will result from such
vacation;

ORDINANCE NO. 4681
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The following described street, to wit :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
as if fully set forth herein
be and the same is hereby vacated.
SECTION II . The City Council hereby elects to charge a
fee of $1, 900 . 00 as a street vacation fee .
SECTION III . This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval, and five days after its publication.
A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the
Office of Records and Elections, and as otherwise provided by
law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 13th day of October , 1997 .

Legal Description
That portion of Lot 1 and Lot 2,Block 1 of the plat of Maplewood Division#1 as recorded in Volume 39
of Plats, page 24, records of King County,Washington described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of said Lot 2,thence S 01°03'30"W 79.04 feet to the northerly right-
of-way line of State Route 169;
Thence southeasterly along said right-of-way line along a nontangent curve to the right having a radius of
660 feet and an arc length of 22.32 feet,a chord bearing of S 59°11'12"E a chord distance of 22.32 feet to
the True Point of Beginning;
Thence continuing along said right-of-way line S 51°29'18"E 65.97 feet;
Thence along a nontangent curve to the left having a radius of 54.09 feet and an arc length of 11.29 feet, a
