WHEREAS, a proper petition for vacating a portion of Bronson Way North located east of I-405 and south of N. 3rd Street, Renton, King County, Washington, was duly filed with the City Clerk on or about January 5, 1989 and reactivated on August 25, 1994, and said petition having been signed by the owners representing more than two-thirds (2/3) of the property abutting upon such street sought .. ^m n ,:\l to be vacated; and . rn 1044 WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 3101 passed- and vl 7.) approved on January 9, 1995, and after due investigation did"= "j; x ;n and determine the day of March 6, 1995, at the hour of 7 :30 p.m. n n the City Council Chambers of the City of Renton to be the time and place for a public hearing thereon, and the City Clerk having given due notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law, and all persons having been heard appearing in favor or in opposition thereto, and the City Council having considered all information and arguments presented to it; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of Renton having duly considered said petition for said vacation, and having 1 WIT Qia f00 5110134 n4003 5111X 44 00ST:20 8 T-026096 ORDINANCE NO. 4634 found same to be in the public interest and for the public benefit, and no injury or damage to any person or properties will result from such vacation, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : SECTION I : The following described street, to wit : See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein be and the same is hereby vacated subject to an easement over, across, under, and on all of the aforedescribed property in favor of quasi municipal utilities existing within the street (Puget QO Power, U.S . West Communications) and the city for utility and related purposes, and further subject to the conditions established 1, by the Renton City Council at its meeting of March 6, 1995 . CD Or) SECTION II . The City Council hereby elects to charge a fee of $10, 912 . 50 to the petitioner-owners, said amount being 500 of the City' s appraisal of the right-of-way interest herein vacated, and such charge being reasonable and proper. SECTION III . This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and thirty days after its publication.
