WHEREAS, a proper petition for vacating a portion of South 55th Street east of Talbot Road South and south of Valley Medical Center was duly filed with the City Clerk on or about February 15, 1996, C=7 and said petition having been signed by the owners representing more C' Cr] ._n than two-thirds (2/3) of the property abutting upon such street sought to be vacated; and WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 3195 passed and approved May 20, 1996, and after due investigation did fix and 0` determine the day of June 17, 1996, at the hour of 7 :30 p.m. in the UI) CD City Council Chambers of the City of Renton to be the time and place O 0 for a public hearing thereon, and the City Clerk having given due Cr, notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law, and all persons having been heard appearing in favor or in opposition thereto, and the City Council having considered all information and arguments presented to it; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of Renton having duly considered said petition for said vacation, and having found same to be in the public interest and for the public benefit, and no CERTIFICATE 1 I, the undersigned, Girt/ Clerk of the City of Renton, Washington, certify that this is a true and correct copy of Oie t? C '430 Subscribed and Se d thisKD day f 19 • erk _� ORDINANCE NO. 4630 injury or damage to any person or properties will result from such vacation; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : SECTION I . The following described street , to wit : See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein be and the same is hereby vacated subject to an easement over, across, under, and on all of the aforedescribed property in favor of ON • the City for utility and related purposes . O O SECTION II . The City Council hereby elects to waive all fees Q` CD • and costs of compensation required under current City Code for the filing, processing, appraisal and transfer of property, and instead authorizes an exchange of a portion of the property owned by the abutting property owner for the City-owned right-of-way vacated hereby. A sketch of the exchanged properties is attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. SECTION III . This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval , and thirty days after its publication.
