2017 City of Renton Multicultural Festival
Between City of Renton and Northwest Kung Fu & Fitness
This contract for professional services for the engagement described below is made this (date) July 31, 2017
between the City of Renton and Northwest Kung Fu & Fitness Chinese Lion Dancers.
1. Name of Professional Service Provider: Northwest Kung Fu & Fitness
Professional Service: Performance during City of Renton 2017 Renton Multicultural Festival
2. Name of Engagement: Renton Multicultural Festival
Address of Engagement: Renton, Washington
3. Date(s) of Engagement: September 23, 2017, Venue Renton Pavilion Event Center Performance time:
4:30pm to 5:00pm.
4. Compensation Agreed Upon: $300.00 Confirm check is payable to David Leong, Northwest Kung Fu &
Fitness City of Renton Vendor Set-Up Form is required for all new vendors.
5. City of Renton will make payment as follows: One hundred percent on September 22 or September 23,
2017, if Entertainment Agreement and Vendor Set-up form are completed and turned in 30 days prior.
6. Arbitration of Claims: All claims and disputes which may arise between the City of Renton and the
Professional Service Provider regarding the application or interpretation of any of the terms or conditions of
this contract, including any disputes between the parties as to their respective obligation and
responsibilities hereunder, shall be referred exclusively to binding arbitration in King County, before the
American Arbitration Association and subject to its' rules, or, by agreement to some other arbitration
service such as JAMS or WAMS, and subject to that entities' arbitration rules.
7. The City of Renton shall at all times have complete supervision, direction and control over the services
provided for this engagement and expressly reserves the right to control the manner, means and details of
the performance of services by the Service Provider as well as mode in which the service shall be
accomplished.
8. Additional Provisions:
a. Professional Service Providers, their agents or assigns, agree to hold harmless the City of Renton
from any and all claims from any person which may arise due to any act or omission whether or not
intentional, by said Professional Service Provider or anyone acting on their behalf.
b. In the event legal action is commenced to enforce any provision of this contract:
1. The laws of the State of Washington shall apply; and
2. The prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable attorney's fees as well as costs of litigation.
This contract, consisting of two pages, contains the entirety of the agreement between the parties. No further
agreements have been made between the parties.
