Approval of Previous Minutes: Moved by Teresa,seconded by Tina, al)ayes, motion carried. 2. Presentation: ■ Asian Counseling and Referral Services;Yoon Joo Han.Agency has been open since 1979 by Asian volunteers.They currently serve 25K clients living in King County with a small percentage living out of King County.This agency provides mental health help and is also the only food bank that provides rice/Asian food.Asian Counseling and Referral Services currently provides help to 600 Renton residents. ■ Centro Rendu (St.Vincent de Paul): For the past 95 years,the heart of their work has been home visits they provide to clients.There are 54 Catholic churches, 5 thrift stores throughout King County. City of Kent and City of Renton are the only facilities that provides services. Centro Rendu has doubled Renton Technical College numbers for GED enrollment. Centro Rendu has been working with Renton School District for the past 2 years.Agency provides Case Management and Legal Services in Renton. Food bank is located in Gerogetown. Clients connect with Centro Rendu by calling 211, help line then asks for zip code which helps them connect one of the 54 local Catholic Churches. 3. Status of Recruitment of additional members:Teresa, Krista and Amy were in the interview panel.We are currently awaiting Mayor letter for Brandy Brown and Cynthia Jones to join the committee. Brandy currently works for the Port of Seattle in the Human Resources department. Prior to working of the Port of Seattle,she was a Case Manager for 7 years.She believes that being in the Human Services Advisory Committee, she will be able to give back to the community and learn more about the City of Renton. Cynthia Jones currently works at Boeing and has years of volunteer services.She has been on a few board committees with Boeing for funding and also with Metro Center YMCA and United Way. Guy would like to have 1:1 meeting with our currently board members to better know one another. 4. DocuSign update: Our previous Administrator Terry H wanted our department to sign electronically.This program has been in use since January 1St, 2017.Very easy, upload documents,tag where signatures are needed and send. 5. Future Quarterly Reports/What do you absolutely need to see? Last year,we used Sharel.Sharel is no longer being used, instead agencies are sending Excel spread sheets.Teresa will help with Excel of help with a program that can easily do reports from all agencies. Dianne will send a few examples of what she has received from agencies. Main points that committee wants to see are the narrative,goal,and how agency is doing towards goal. 6. Mission/Vision Statement:Committee will come up with their own take on missions. During next meeting Post-it posters will be brought in for each member to write down their missions. Future Dates: Meeting every other month?Or every month?Committee agrees to meet every month unless there is no topics on agenda.August and December 2017 there will be no meeting. Next meeting: We will review committee comments on rating tool. May, mission/rating tool,June, agency visits.
