CALL TO �RDER
The July 200i meeting was called #o order by Chair, Troy Wigestrand, at 4:35
p.m.
APPRQVAL OF MINUTES
Ran Regis made a motion seconded by Michael O'Donin to appro�e the June
minutes as written. AI� were in fa�or, motion carried minutes approved.
ANNQUNCEMENTS
Jim Shepherd announced the Hydroplane races. There was discussion
regarding signage at the boat launch.
The tEer� musical "The Wiz" wili open on July 19'".
CONSENT
Mr. Shepherd re�iewed the consent letters. One �ast-minute letter was submitted
from Muckleshoot Bingo employees requesting to hold their picnic on July 18 at
Gene Coulon's south shelter for ap�roximately 250 guests. They wauld utilize
Clowns Untimited, entertainment and ha�e a ca#erer.
Cynthia Burns made a motion to appro�e the consent agenda with
recommendations as made by staff. Marge Richter secanded the motion; ��I
were in favor, Consen#agenda appro�ed.
It was suggested the graup reqtaesting to use an ampiifying system for their
picnic at Philip Arnold Park on July 14"' utilize a bulihom instead.
OLD BUSINESS
Leslie Betlach recommended a moratorium on applications at Gen� Coulon
Memorial Beach Park for memorial trees. Currently there is a wa�ting list of
approximatesy 10 and over 25 memorials in place. This moratorium would be far
a minimum time period of one year or wh�n the current waiting list is fulfil[ed,
whiche�er is greater. Ron Regis made a motion seconded by Ralph E�ans to
impose a one-year moratorium on memorial trees at Gene Cou�on Park. Afl were
i� favor, motion carried,
Leslie noted that two honey �ocust tre�s would be remo�red at the golf course.
