QF MINUTES Michael O'Donin made a motion seconded by Marge Richter to approve #he August minutes as written. All present were in favor, motion carried, minutes appro�ed. CORRESPONDENCE Jim rerriewed comments from Kim Browne and Troy Wigestrand conceming ti�e Draft Park, Recreation and Open Space Plan. Cynthia Burns agreed with Kim's comments and Sy�via had incorporated those comments into the plan. C�NSENT .1im reviewed the foflowing consent IettErs: ✓ Dennis I�aw, Renton Rotary, requested waiver of€ees for use of the communi#y center for their annual auction. ✓ The Piazza graup requested to expand their annual October ��ent. They planned on having Farmer's Market �endors, music and food. Cynthia Bums made a motion ta approve the consent agenda with staff recommendations wit� the addit'sonal suggestion for the Piazza group to monitor the volume of the music. Tim Searing seconded the motion. All were in fa�or, motion carried. City af Renton Park Board Minutes September 10, 2002 Page 2 of 2 OLD BUSINESS Comprehensi�e Plan Sylvia Allen discussed the c�anges at the last park board meetsng and aU corrections submitted to Sylvia following the meeting had been incorporated into the executive summary of the �ong-range park, recreation and open space plan. Sylvia explained the changes in the level of service section. Cynthia Burns made a motion to accept the revised document, Marge Richter seconded the motion. All were in favor to appro�e the Executive 5ummary Long-Range Park, Recreation and Open Space Plan. Motion carried, plan approved. OTHER Ralph Errans commented on visiting the Ceda� River Trail Shetter Park on a Sunday and due to the heavy traffic, t�ere was a large amount of garbage left behind that the crows had scattered and what a mess it was, Upon retuming to the parlc the next day he was surprised and pleased to find e�ery bit of garbage was picked up. Tim Searing noted what a success the Tuesday Farmers Mar[cet was. AI Dieckman made a suggestion to alle�iate parking congestion at Coulon Park that Metro be contacted to consider ha�ing service during peak times (summer and summer concert series), ADJOURNMENT Marge Richter made a motion seconded by Tim Searing to adjoum the meeting.
