Human Services Advisory Committee
Meeting Report
Renton City Hall
Council Conference Room, 7th Floor
November 14,2017 3:00 p.m.
ATTENDANCE: Brook Dodd, Leslie Anderson, Krista Townsend,Tina Harris,Teresa Kenney, Brandy Brown,
Cynthia Jones,Adair Hasty
Excused:Amy Koehl,Joanie Howe
Absent:
Staff: Guy Williams, Dianne Utecht,Jeannie Gabriel.
1. Meeting was called to order at 3:07 by Chair Brook Dodd
2. Agenda approved
3. Approval of minutes moved by Teresa,seconded by Krista
4. Manager's Report
a. HSAC By Law/Vice-Chair Nomination
i. Nominated or self-nominated, next meeting will nominate and vote for new Vice-Chair
b. HSAC Roster and two expiring seats
i. 3 seats will expire, Brandi/Adair/Leslie
1. All would like to stay on committee. Guy will send letter recommendation to
Mayor Law,signed letter from will be sent to committee members.
5. Discussion/Action Items
a. Vision of the funding process
b. Review of Need Areas/funding history
c. Rating tool-does it get us to the vision?
Committee members had an extended dialogue about these 3 issues. Dianne and Brook will meet for
marketing tools and save the dates for agency applications. Dianne will send out Rating Tool and a
previous application to committee members for review. Homework: look for questions that do not
make sense or question with bias.

Next meeting will be Tuesday, December 05, 2017
