AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT WITH JEAN BRADBURY FOR DESIGN AND USE OF ARTWORK THIS AMENDMENT, dated October 10, 2018, is by and between the City of Renton (the "City"), a Washington municipal corporation, and Jean Bradbury ("ARTIST"), a visual artist. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the "Parties." Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties. Whereas, the City engaged the services of the ARTIST under Agreement CAG-18-148, dated June 4, 2018, to provide necessary services for the use of artwork to be displayed on City utility boxes. (referred to herein as the "Agreement"); Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work and change the compensation in order to reflect additional work performed by the ARTIST. NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-18-148 is amended as follows: 1. Scope of Work and Time: Section 2, Scope and Time for Performance, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit A-1, which is attached and incorporated herein, and pursuant to the schedule(s) set forth in Exhibit A-1. All Work shall be performed by no later than November 30, 2018. 2. Exhibit A-1 replaces Exhibit A in its entirety such that Exhibit A is no longer in effect. 3. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of compensation payable to Consultant is increased from $2,500.00 to $2,650.00, plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actual performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit A- 1. 4. All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if fully set forth herein. The artist will create artistic designs to be printed on vinyl wrap and hung on three traffic signal boxes in the Sunset Area of Renton. Deliverables: Three sets of digital designs in a format consistent with the installer's specifications A day -long series of workshops with local middle school students at the Renton Highlands Neighborhood Center to produce artwork on which the final designs will be based. Workshops will guide the children in a class of botanical illustration based on local found leaves, plants, and flowers, Revision of artwork as required by installer's specifications Timeline: Locations of utility boxes in Renton Highlands Phase One: The summer workshop will take place at the Renton Highlands Neighborhood Center on Monday July 16, 2018 from 1pm to 6pm. Bradbury (the artist) will conduct the workshop independently working with staff from the neighborhood center. Students will create their own illustrations which will be collected and synthesized into final designs. Phase Two: Final designs will be delivered no later than November 30, 2018. Bradbury will use illustration software to synthesize the designs submitted by the participants at the workshop, and submit them to the City of Renton via a cloud based folder such as Dropbox or Google Drive. Phase Three: The City will deliver the artwork to the installer to carry out the fabrication and installation of the vinyl wraps. Installation will take place no more than 6 weeks after the delivery of the digital designs.
