The applicant believes that the requirements of the proposed project along the shoreline of make Washington are below what would be required for a SSDP. This action requires administrative review and decision. The proposed work must be consistent with the Shoreline Management Act. Conditions may be required. The proposed work would be repair and maintenance of an existing rock bulkhead 12ft. in length, replenish gravel below the high water line for a baitflsh spawning area and sand for beach area above the high water line along 15ft. of the shoreline. The single- family residential property has approximately 60 feet of shoreline within the Urban Shoreline Environment of Lake Washington. The existing bulkhead consists of a concrete -capped rockery bulkhead. The existing rocks have fallen, and replacement rocks, need to be reset along 12 ft. of the existing bulkhead. The bulkhead will be replaced at the current location. The existing sand beach is to be replenished, as normal maintenance, with sand and gravel in a 15 ft. by 15 ft. area along Lake Washington Shoreline. The sand will be above the ordinary high water mark of Lake Washington. No additional encroachment on the shoreline area is proposed. This work would occur during May of this year.
