In addition, the roof of the boathouse as well as eight (8) support piles to the boathouse will be repaired. The site is a 4,349 sq. ft. single-family residential use parcel located at 3709 Lk, Wa. Blvd. N. The project will require a Shoreline Exemption for repair and maintenance of an existing structure as well as a building permit. The site and adjacent properties are zoned R-8 and located along the shoreline of Lake Washington. The existing shoreline consists of a fixed pile dock with a wooden boathouse. There is a rock bulkhead along the shoreline. The lakebed consists of sand and gravel. Drainage conditions are not applicable to this project. There will not be any change to the existing use of the property. The scope of the project entails replacing the siding on the boathouse, new torch down roofing, replacing existing windows as needed, and repairing eight (8) existing support pilings by cutting off the damaged portions and placing new sections on top. The replacement sections will be secured by bolting longitudinally cut sections of galvanized pipe on either side of the piles. The time to complete the repairs to the boathouse is approximately ten (10) days. No job shack is needed. No off site improvements, excavation or fill are proposed for this project. No trees are to be removed, no land will be dedicated to the city, and no modifications are requested.
