Listen. Learn. Be aware —fire can happen anywhere" effectively serves to remind us that we need to take personal steps to increase our safety from fire; Now, therefore, I, Denis Law, Mayor of the City of Renton, do hereby proclaim October 7-13, 2018, to be Fire Prevention Week in the City of Renton in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, and I encourage all citizens to join me in this special observance. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Renton to be affixed this 8th day of October, 2018.
