A transition to Alerton's BACtalk system offers the City facilities immediate and long-term advantages as key components for the older IBEX systems are no longer available to purchase in the electronic market. Scope Alerton Compass for BACtalk is the operator workstation software for BACnet systems. This includes the Compass software, license, and operator's manual. ATS will provide and install the Alerton Compass software onto a workstation that meets Alerton's CPU minimum requirements (main Compass CPU provided by ATS to replace existing). The building's existing control system will require a global controller upgrade to BACnet(the existing APEXs, 2 total are no longer available for purchase or repair by Alerton—will be replaced with BACtalk ACMs), however all field controllers will remain(i.e. the TUX controllers are compatible with the ACMs IBEX gateway). ATS labor includes DDC database conversion to BACtalk, hardware installation, communication verification of each upgrade; includes set-up of the building's existing zones, schedules, alarms and trendlogs; and up to one (1) hour of end-user training. NOTE: ATS labor does not include revisions to the existing graphic displays and sequence of operation of each building. ATS will provide the Project Management, Engineering & Field Technician labor required to provide controls design and programming,ATS standard graphics, system start-up and check-out,and controls documentation/ system data back-ups. ATS will also be responsible for the installation of ATS provided HVAC DDC controls material and wiring referenced in above scope of work. Installation of the HVAC DDC controls to include termination of all wiring, and installation of all HVAC controllers and associated control devices in accordance with ATS wiring standards. Pricing Total Price: $50,940.00 + W.S.S.T. Clarifications& Exclusions • This Proposal is based upon straight-time work(M—F; 8 AM—5 PM). No after-hours or overtime labor is included in this proposal, unless clarified above. • ATS specifically excludes the warranty and replacement of all existing equipment(mechanical or electrical). • ATS specifically excludes troubleshooting existing Building Management System problems as a part of this proposal. • WARRANTY: All newly installed equipment is warranted against defect for a period of one year from the date of purchase. • NOTE: Unless previously arranged with ATS Operations Management, the standard lead time for the start of this project is three(3)to four(4)weeks from written authorization to proceed. If a contract or purchase order will be issued for this scope of work, pleose reference this proposal in the contract documents OR simply sign the proposal below authorizing us to proceed. Changes in technology and the adoption of the BACnet protocol has led to a slow phase out of IBEX components. Currently, IBEX global controllers are no longer sold and field level controllers are being phased out of production. In order to mitigate IBEX component shortages and keep your facility using the latest in industry-leading energy management systems, it is important to plan for a migration from IBEX to Alerton's BACtalk system. Migrating to Envision for BACtalk with ATS Automation provides the following benefits: • Retain majority of existing equipment. Typically only global controllers and operator workstations need to be upgraded. • Field level controllers and sensors can remain in place while migrating to Envision for BACtalk, allowing for an incremental upgrade of the entire facility. • Mitigates risk of building downtime due to issues with aging equipment and lack of available components. • Parts leftover from incremental updates of zones can be used as backups for areas where IBEX components are currently in use.
