AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO
AGREEMENT WITH RENTON HOUSING AUTHORITY REGARDING LOAN
OF CITY ART LOCATED AT FORMER RENTON HIGHLANDS LIBRARY
THIS AMENDMENT NO. 1 ("Amendment"), dated June 30, 2019, is by and between the City of
Renton (the "City"), a Washington municipal corporation, and the Housing Authority of City of
Renton ("RHA"), a municipal corporation. The City and RHA are referred to collectively in this
Amendment as the "Parties." Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as
of the last date signed by both parties.
Whereas, the Parties entered into an Art Loan Agreement dated March 16, 2018, filed as AC-SUR-
106 (the "Agreement") to provide for the continuing public display of City -owned Artwork in the
former Renton Highlands Library Building; and
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to allow the Tacoma Art Museum to include
the Artwork that is referred to in the Agreement as Work No. 1 (a work by J. Elshin) in an
exhibition tentatively scheduled for February 22 to August 16, 2020 in Tacoma.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that the Agreement SUR-106 is amended as follows:
1. Scope: Section 2, Scope, is amended to allow for the loan of Work No. 1 to the Tacoma
Art Museum for the purpose of public display in an exhibition tentatively scheduled for
February 22 to August 16, 2020. City shall be solely responsible for removing and
returning the Artwork to the Building and RHA shall have no liability in connection
therewith.
2. Unless otherwise defined, all capitalized terms used in this Amendment have the
meanings assigned to them in the Agreement.
3. All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect.
