MAYORA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE
AND
TO
ENTER • AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
WASHINGTON REGARDING THE REIMBURSEMENT OF A:
COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE WASHINGTON'RESOURCE
MOBILIZATION PLAN.
WHEREAS, in the event of disastrous fires or other disasters of unprecedented size and
destructiveness, the State of Washington established the Washington State Fire Services
Resource Mobilization Plan (the "Mobilization Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the Plan provides a process to quickly notify, assemble and deploy fire
service personnel and equipment to any local fire jurisdiction in the state that has expended all
local and mutual aid resources in attempting to manage, mitigate and control an emergency
incident or situation for the protection of life and property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton Fire and Emergency Services Department may be called
upon to respond to such an incident mobilization; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which the
Washington State Patrol will reimburse the City of Renton for the response of its Fire and
Emergency Services Department to an incident mobilization;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.

SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal agreement with Washington State Patrol related to reimbursement of costs
associated with responding to an incident pursuant to the Mobilization Plan.
