Dear Mr. Powell and Ms. Fontes:
As you may know, I have been selected by your appraisers/arbitrators as a "third" for the above
referenced rent determination.
The cost of my work will be based on time spent at my normal hourly rate of$300/hour. If resources and
personnel in my office can provide support services, this will be performed in a cost-effective manner in
accordance with the complexity of the task at hand. A list of billing rates for firm personnel is attached.
At this time I am requesting a retainer of$2,500 per party, for a total of$5,000. This retainer will be held
and applied to the final invoice in this matter. You will be invoiced on a monthly basis, with payment
due upon receipt of invoice.
If you wish to communicate with me, please do so jointly, or through your appraisers/arbitrators, thus
avoiding ex-parte communications.
Thank you for this opportunity to provide arbitration services, and I look forward to working with your
appraisers on this interesting assignment.

client. If lodging or travel services are required outside the region,these costs will be additional.
