ORDINANCE NO. 57nn
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ACCEPTING A DEED
OF DONATION FOR CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM THE ERWIN FAMILY TRUST
AND RONALD W. SCOTT AND ANNETTE L. SCOTT.
WHEREAS, under RCW 35A.79.010, Powers to acquire, use and manage, as now or
hereafter amended, the City of Renton shall have all powers provided by general law to cities
relating to the receipt of donations of money and property; and
WHEREAS, RCW 35.21.100, Donations - Authority to accept and use, as now or
hereafter amended, grants the City of Renton authority to accept by ordinance any money or
property donated, devised or bequeathed to it and carry out the terms of the donation, devise,
or bequest, if within the powers granted by law. If no terms or conditions are attached to the
donation, devise, or bequest, the city or town may expend or use it for any municipal purpose;
and
WHEREAS, Joanne L. Erwin, Trustee of the Erwin Family Trust, and Ronald W. Scott and
Annette L. Scott, have expressed a desire to donate to the City of Renton certain real property
known as Lots 41 and 42, Scott's Terrace, according to the Plat thereof, recorded in Volume 72
of Plats, Pages 39 and 40, in King County, Washington; and
WHEREAS, Joanne L. Erwin, Trustee of the Erwin Family Trust, and Ronald W. Scott and
Annette L. Scott, have executed a Deed of Donation conveying the property to the City of
Renton and presented it to the City for acceptance in accordance with state law;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I. The Deed of Donation executed by Joanne Erwin, Trustee of the Erwin
Family Trust, and Ronald W. Scott and Annette L. Scott, is hereby accepted in the form attached
hereto as Exhibit A.
SECTION II. The City Clerk shall record the Deed of Donation and accompanying Real
Estate Excise Tax Affidavit with the King County Recorder's office.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and five (5)
days after publication.

a donation without consideration to the City of Renton, a Washington municipal corporation,
the following described real estate, situated in King County, in the State of Washington:
LOTS 41 AND 42, SCOTT'S TERRACE, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF,
RECORDED IN VOLUME 72 OF PLATS, PAGES 39 AND 40, IN KING COUNTY,
WASHINGTON.
