HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 4173CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 4173 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH COAL CREEK UTILITY DISTRICT FOR THE SALE OF WATER DURING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Coal Creek Utility District has constructed an emergency water system intertie to receive water from the City of Renton for emergency uses; and WHEREAS, the City of Renton agrees to provide and sell water to Coal Creek Utility District during an emergency event, subject to the availability and quantity of water to be sold; and WHEREAS, it would be in the public's best interest to have the agreement executed; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Agreement for the Sale of Water during an Emergency to Coal Creek Utility District.
