RESOLUTION NO. 4181
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE
AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT 40, AMENDING CAG-08-015
ADDRESSING THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT OF THE DEMOLITION OF FIRE
STATION 42.
WHEREAS, on March 1, 2008, King County Fire District 40 ("District 40") entered into a
long-term contractual relationship with the City of Renton, described in CAG-08-015 (the
"Contract"), to provide fire and life safety services to the citizens of District 40; and
WHEREAS, the Contract provides that District 40 shall be responsible to fund all major
capital repair and replacements (above $5,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton's Facilities Division has the requisite experience and
expertise to provide project management services on behalf of District 40 for the demolition of
Fire Station 42 that are entirely consistent with the operational and maintenance standards of
the City of Renton Fire and Emergency Services Department; and
WHEREAS, District 40 and the City, pursuant to RCW 39.34 RCW (Interlocal Cooperation
Act), enter into this Agreement to set forth the duties and responsibilities of the parties with
regard to the project management of the demolition of Fire Station 42;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.

SECTION III. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal cooperative agreement with King County Fire District 40, amending CAG-08-015
addressing the project management of the demolition of Fire Station 42.
