RESOLUTION NO. 4192
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH
STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REGARDING THE
SOUTH LAKE WASHINGTON ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City and the State of Washington Department of Transportation ("State")
are authorized, pursuant to RCW Chapter 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, to enter into an
interlocal government cooperative agreement; and
WHEREAS, the State has constructed the improvement of State Route 405 ("SR 405")
with the addition of a ramp and a city street, and/or other pertinent features; and
WHEREAS, the City has constructed the South Lake Washington Roadway Improvements
project; and
WHEREAS, the State acquired right of way needed to construct, reconstruct, or
rearrange the SR 405, and/or certain streets or roads, frontage roads, access roads,
intersections, ramps, crossings, and/or other roadway features, hereinafter referred to as
"Roadway Facilities"; and
WHEREAS, the parties' projects are complete and certain right of way and Roadway
Facilities will require maintenance, operation, and ownership transfer from the State to the
City; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document by agreement the process of Roadway Facilities
and right of way maintenance, operation, and ownership transfer;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION H. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal agreement with the State regarding the South Lake Washington Roadway
improvements.
