HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 4202CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 4202 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH WASHINGTON STATE CRIMINAL JUSTICE TRAINING COMMISSION REGARDING SERVICES OF RENTON POLICE OFFICER SHELLY HAMEL. WHEREAS, the City and Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission ("Commission") are authorized, pursuant to RCW Chapter 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, to enter into an interlocal government cooperative agreement; and WHEREAS, the Commission, pursuant to RCW Chapter 43.101, is empowered to provide programs and standards for the training of criminal justice personnel and may contract with individuals and agencies for the purpose of training; and WHEREAS, the Commission desires to contract with the City for the full-time services of Renton Police Officer Shelly Hamel in administering, conducting, and presenting the state's Basic Law Enforcement Academy program; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions of the agreement between the City and the Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an interlocal agreement with the Commission regarding services of Renton Police Officer Shelly Hamel. 1 RESOLUTION NO. 4202 PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 25th day of November 2013.
