RES4136CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 4136 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE CITY OF RENTON HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN. WHEREAS, the City and the surrounding areas are subject to a wide range of natural and anthropogenic hazards, including floods, winter storms, earthquakes, landslides, hazardous material spills and more; and WHEREAS, the impacts of potential future hazard events in Renton may be minor, or they may be major, with damages and economic losses reaching millions of dollars; and WHEREAS, with the implementation of a hazard mitigation plan, the City can substantially reduce the negative impacts of future disasters; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION II. The City of Renton Hazard Mitigation Plan is hereby adopted by the City of Renton.
