RESOLUTION NO. 41 SI
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH YAKIMA COUNTY.
WHEREAS, interlocal cooperative purchasing has long been established and encouraged
in the City of Renton's Policy and Procedure 250-02; and
WHEREAS, the City has an opportunity to enter into an intergovernmental cooperative
purchasing agreement with Yakima County; and
WHEREAS, entering into this agreement with Yakima County will allow the City and
Yakima County to extend to the each other the right to purchase pursuant to bids and
contracts relating to computer software, supplies, material, equipment, or services; and
WHEREAS, entering into this agreement will save the City considerable time and
expense;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Yakima County.
