RESOLUTION NO. 4153
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A UTILITIES COOPERATION
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF RENTON AND KING COUNTY WATER
DISTRICT NO. 90 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DISTRICT'S WATER MAIN
IMPROVEMENTS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CITY OF RENTON'S NE 3RD/4TH
ST. CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City has completed the design and plans to construct the NE 3rd/4th
St. Corridor Roadway Improvements project; and
WHEREAS, King County Water District No. 90 ("the District") owns, operates and
maintains an existing water main in NE 4th Street within the City's NE 3rd/4th St. Corridor
Roadway Improvements project; and
WHEREAS, the District desires to replace a portion of its existing water main in NE
4th Street and construct an on-site extension of a City water main to the District's pump
station in the vicinity of NE 4th Street; and
WHEREAS, the District will be responsible for the cost for the construction of the water
main improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to manage the construction of the District's water main
improvements project subject to reimbursement by the District for the construction costs
and activities related to the District's water main improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.

SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a Utilities
Cooperation Agreement with King County Water District No. 90 for the construction of the
District's water main improvements in conjunction with the City's NE 3RD/4TH St. Corridor
Roadway Improvements project;
