CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
ORDINANCE NO. 4452
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
SECTION 2-9-2 OF CHAPTER 9, PARK COMMISSION, OF TITLE II
(COMMISSIONS AND BOARDS) , OF ORDINANCE NO. 4260 ENTITLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON" BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF BOARD MEMBERS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I . Section 2-9-2 of Chapter 9, Park Commission, of
Title II (Commissions and Boards) , of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled
"Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is
hereby amended to read as follows :
2-9-2: CREATION OF BOARD ELIGIBILITY:
There is hereby created a Board of Park Commissioners,
consisting of seven (7 ) members, who shall be appointed by the
Mayor, subject to the confirmation by a majority of the members of
the City Council . The selection of such Park Commissioners shall be
made from the citizens of recognized fitness for such positions who
are residents of the City. No Commissioner shall receive any
compensation for his or her service whatsoever except for
reimbursement of actual expenditures duly authorized by the City
Council.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval, and thirty days after publication.
