RESOLUTION NO. 4064
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION'S FEDERAL GRANT APPLICATION AND GRANT ASSURANCES
AND ACCEPT THE GRANT TO FUND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AIRPORT
SUSTAINABILITY PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) offered a grant in 2010, in the
amount of $150,000 to complete the development of a Sustainability Plan for the airport; and
WHEREAS, the FAA offered the grant under an FAA pilot program to help airports meet
their environmental, social and economic obligations; and
WHEREAS, the Renton Municipal Airport is one of 10 airport nationwide to be offered
such a grant; and
WHEREAS, the Airport Sustainability Plan can be developed to help the Airport meet
the Mission and Goals of the Renton Business Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The City Council does hereby authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to
execute the Federal Aviation Administration's Federal Grant Application and Grant Assurances
and accept the grant to fund the development of the Airport Sustainability Plan.
