HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 5627CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 5627 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON (1625 DUVALL AVENUE NE) FROM RESIDENTIAL-EIGHT UNITS PER NET ACRE (R-8) TO COMMERCIAL ARTERIAL (CA) ZONING, FILE NO. CPA 2011-M-06). WHEREAS, under Section 4-2-020 of Chapter 2, Zoning Districts - Uses and Standards, of Title IV (Development Regulations), of Ordinance No. 4260 known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington", as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith, the property below described has heretofore been zoned as Residential Eight Units Per Net Acre (R-8); and WHEREAS, the property owner initiated a proceeding for change of zone classification of the property; and WHEREAS, this matter was referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study, and public hearing, and the public hearing was held on or about June 1, 2011; and WHEREAS, the matter having been duly considered by the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan, as amended; and WHEREAS, the Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties having been heard appearing in support or opposition; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The following property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Commercial Arterial (CA) as specified below. The Planning Division is hereby authorized and ORDINANCE NO. 5627 directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence the rezoning, to-wit: See Attachment "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. SECTION II. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval and five (5) days after publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 19th day of September 2011. Bonnie I.
