HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 5393Amends ORD 5238, CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO.5393 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES (FORMERLY THE HUDSON ANNEXATION AREA) WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENTIAL TEN DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE (R-IO)TO COMMERCIAL NEIGHBORHOOD (CN). WHEREAS,under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2,Zoning Districts -Uses and Standards, of Title IV (Development Regulations)of Ordinance No.4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton,Washington,"as amended,and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith,the property hereinbelow described has been zoned in the City of Renton;and WHEREAS,property owners within the subject area requested the City of Renton to redesignate the subject property Commercial Neighborhood (CN)and concurrently rezone it;and WHEREAS,pursuant to RCW 35A.14.330 and RCW 35A.14.340,the City held two public hearings to consider zoning for the area,with the first hearing held on July 25,2007,and the second hearing held on October 1,2007 and the zoning being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan,as amended,and the City Council having considered all matters relevant thereto,and all parties having been heard appearing in support or in opposition to the proposed zonmg; NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I.The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby zoned to CN.The annual ordinance adopting the maps of the City's Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to evidence the rezoning and the EDNSP Administrator is hereby authorized and 1 ORDINANCE NO.5393 directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance,as amended,to evidence the rezoning,to wit: See Exhibit "A"attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. [The properties,approximately .72 acres,are located in 2 sections,the smallest, some .25 acres,on the western side of Benson Road South,and the largest,some .4 7 acres,on the east side of Benson Road South,both sections are south of SE 168th Street,if extended.] SECTION II. 30 days after its publication.
