CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON
ORDINANCE NO.5264
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE 2007 BUDGET BY TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $259,000 FROM THE 2007 DESIGNATED CAPITAL
RESERVE FUND FOR PARK MAINTENANCE FACILITY,TO THE
PARKS MAINTENANCE FACILITY ACCOUNT,IN ORDER TO
PROVIDE FOR A TEMPORARY PARKS MAINTENANCE FACILITY.
WHEREAS,the City is presently engaged in the preliminary stages of an effort to
construct a new Parks maintenance facility that will take a period of years to complete;and
WHEREAS,there is a scheduled Transportation Improvement Project to widen State
Highway 169 this year that will require the demolition of an existing Parks maintenance site in
Cedar River Park;and
WHEREAS,.an expenditure of funds is necessary to provide for a temporary Parks
maintenance facility and for due diligence engineering,architectural,and appraisal fees in
connection with the new facility;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

ORDINANCE NO.5264
Funds for this line item are hereby appropriated to the 2007 budget
and hereby removed from the 2007 Fund 316 Reserve:Park Maintenance Facility within fund
balance.
SECTION TIl.
30 days after publication.
This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage,approval,and
