ORDINANCE NO.5274
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 5-8-3,PUNCHBOARDS PROHIBITED,AND
SUBSECTION 5-8-5.B OF CHAPTER 8,GAMBLING TAX,OF TITLE V
(FINANCE AND BUSINESS REGULATIONS)OF ORDINANCE NO.4260
ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
RENTON,WASHINGTON"BY RESCINDING THE PROHIBITION ON
PUNCHBOARDS,AND SETTING THE TAX RATE FOR THEIR
CONDUCT OR OPERATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.Section 5-8-3,Punchboards Prohibited,of Chapter 8,Gambling
Tax,ofTitle V (Finance and Business Regulations)of Ordinance No.4260 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton,Washington"is hereby rescinded.
SECTIONll.Section 5-8-5.B of Chapter 8,Gambling Tax,of Title V (Finance
and Business Regulations)of Ordinance No.4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the
City ofRenton,Washington"is hereby amended to read as follows:
B.For the conduct or operation of any puUtabs and punchboards,a tax rate of five
percent (5%)of the gross receipts from such pulltabs and punchboards;
SECTION III.
30 days after publication.
This ordinanceshaU be effective upon its passage,approval,and
