AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON
ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY ANNEXED WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM R-6
(URBAN RESIDENTIAL 6 DU PER ACRE,KING COUNTY ZONING)TO
R-8 (RESIDENTIAL 8 DUlAC;EIGHT DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE)
(HONEY CREEK EAST ANNEXATION,FILE NO.A-oo.-004).
WHEREAS,under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2,Zoning Districts -Uses and Standards,
of Title IV (Development Regulations)of Ordinance No.4260 entitled "Code of General
Ordinances of the City of Renton,Washington,"as amended,and the maps and reports adopted
in conjunction therewith,the property hereinbelow described has not been zoned in the City of
Renton;and
WHEREAS,said property owners petitioned the City of Renton for annexation and
concurrent rezoning,which said annexation having previously been approved and the property
annexed to the City of Renton,and the City having held two public hearings to consider this
zoning application,the first hearing being held on November 19,2001,and the second hearing
being held on May 16,2005,and said zoning request being in conformity with the City's
Comprehensive Plan,as amended,and the City Council having duly considered all matters
relevant thereto,and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition
thereto;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASIDNGTON,DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTIONL The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby
zoned to R-8 as hereinbelow specified.The annual orqinance adopting the maps of the City's

zoning ordinance is hereby amended to evidence said rezoning and the EDNSP Administrator is
hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance,as amended,to
evidence said rezoning,to wit:
See Exhibits"A"and "B"attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set
forth herein.
[Said property,approximately 27.5 acres,is generally located between 126th Avenue
SE,on the west,and Union Avenue NE,on the east.SE 100th Street (if extended)
generally forms the northern boundary of the annexation area.SE 102nd StreetlNE
22nd Street generally forms the southern boundary ofthe area.]
SECTIONIL This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage,
approval,and five days after its publication.

HONEY CREEK EAST REZONE
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
That portion of the Northeast quarter of Section 4,Township 23 North,Range 5 East,W.M.,
King County,Washington,described as follows:
Beginning'at the southeast comer of Lot 12,Block 3 of Sierra Heights,as recorded in Volume 54
of Plats,Page 3,records of King County,Washington in said Northeast quarter,said southeast
comer also being a point on the existing City limits line of the City of Renton as annexed under
Ordinance No.4070;
Thence westerly along the south line of Block 3 of said plat and said existing City limits line,to
the southwest comer of Lot 2 of said Block 3;
Tbence northerly along the west line of said Lot 2 and said existing City limits line,to the
northwest comer of said Lot 2,said northwest comer also being a point on the southerly right-of-
way margin of SE 102nd Street (NE 22nd Place);
Thence northerly,crossing said SE 102nd Street (NE 22nd Street),to the southwest comer of Lot
2,Block 4 of Sierra Heights,as recorded in Volume 54 of Plats,Page 3,records of King County,
Washington,said comer also being a point on the northerly right-of-way margin of SE 102 nd
Street (NE 22nd Street);
Thence northerly,westerly,southerly and westerly along said northerly right-of-way margin,to
the southwest comer of Lot 3,Block 4 of said plat,said comer also being a point on the easterly
right-of-way margin of 12Sth Avenue SE (Queen Avenue NE);.
Thence northerly along the west line of Lot 3 and said easterly right-of-way margin,to an
intersection with the easterly extension of the south line of Lot 10,Block 1 of Albert Balch's
Sierra Heights,as recorded in Volume 61,Page IS,records of King County,Washington;
Thence westerly along said easterly extension of said south line of Lot 10,crossing 12Sth Avenue

of said lOO-foot wide transmission line;
Thence northeasterly along said centerline,to an intersection with the east line of said
Government Lot 2;
Thence southerly along said east line,to an intersection with the north line of the south 1,320
feet of said Northeast quarter;
Thence easterly along said north line,to an intersection with the west line of the east 400 feet of
said Northeast quarter;
Thence southerly along said west line,to the north line of the Southeast quarter of said Northeast
quarter;
Thence easterly along said north line,to an intersection with the west line of the east 30 feet of
