HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 5139CITY OF RENTON,WASIDNGTON ORDINANCE NO.5139 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ANNEXED WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM R-6 (URBAN RESIDENTIAL 6 DU PER ACRE,KING COUNTY ZONING)TO R-8 (RESIDENTIAL 8 DUlAC;EIGHT DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE) (HONEY CREEK EAST ANNEXATION,FILE NO.A-oo.-004). WHEREAS,under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2,Zoning Districts -Uses and Standards, of Title IV (Development Regulations)of Ordinance No.4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton,Washington,"as amended,and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith,the property hereinbelow described has not been zoned in the City of Renton;and WHEREAS,said property owners petitioned the City of Renton for annexation and concurrent rezoning,which said annexation having previously been approved and the property annexed to the City of Renton,and the City having held two public hearings to consider this zoning application,the first hearing being held on November 19,2001,and the second hearing being held on May 16,2005,and said zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan,as amended,and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto,and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASIDNGTON,DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTIONL The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby zoned to R-8 as hereinbelow specified.The annual orqinance adopting the maps of the City's 1 ORDINANCE NO.5139 zoning ordinance is hereby amended to evidence said rezoning and the EDNSP Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance,as amended,to evidence said rezoning,to wit: See Exhibits"A"and "B"attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. [Said property,approximately 27.5 acres,is generally located between 126th Avenue SE,on the west,and Union Avenue NE,on the east.SE 100th Street (if extended) generally forms the northern boundary of the annexation area.SE 102nd StreetlNE 22nd Street generally forms the southern boundary ofthe area.] SECTIONIL This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval,and five days after its publication.
