RESOLUTION NO.3935
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO ENTER
INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF
WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FOR THE DUVALL AVENUE
NE/COAL CREEK PARKWAY SE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
WHEREAS,the Duvall Avenue NE/Coal Creek Parkway SE Reconstruction Project will
improve safety and ease congestion from Renton to Bellevue;and
WHEREAS,a portion of the project is within the City of Renton or soon to be annexed
to the City of Renton;and
WHEREAS,the project will construct additional lanes,convert overhead power to
underground,a new traffic signal at NE 21 st Street,and new bike lanes;and
WHEREAS,the agreement with the State of Washington Department of Transportation
will provide construction management services for that portion of the project within the City of
Renton for the construction contract to complete the Duvall Avenue NE/Coal Creek Parkway SE
Reconstruction Project.These Services will include project management,inspection,materials
testing,on-call surveying,and contract administration during the construction of the project;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an
agreement entitled Agreement GCA 5674 Duvall Avenue NE/Coal Creek Parkway SE
