RESOLUTION NO.3936
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO ENTER
INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (WSDOT)TO OBTAIN
CONSTRUCTION FUNDS FOR THE LAKE WASHINGTON TRAIL
SOUTH LAKE CONNECTOR (SAM CHASTAIN TRAIL).
WHEREAS,the City of Renton has previously entered into an agreement with the
WSDOT to obtain money for project design for the Sam Chastain Trail;and
WHEREAS,additional funds are available for construction work;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to supplement the initial interlocal agreement to accept
$500,000 in construction funds;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which the funds
will be accepted;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an interlocal
agreement with WSDOT termed Local Agency Agreement Supplement,Agreement No.LA 6164
and to enter into further agreements,supplemental agreements and contracts necessary to execute
the work associated with the Sam Chastain Trail.
