RESOLUTION NO.3946
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE
FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION'S FEDERAL GRANT
APPLICATION AND GRANT ASSURANCES AND ACCEPT THE
GRANT TO FUND PHASE II OF THE DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
PORTION OF THE RUNWAY 15/33 RESURFACING PROJECT.
WHEREAS,Runway 15/33 has a significant "dip"in the southern half of the runway
pavement and several smaller dips in the northern end of the runway pavement;and
WHEREAS,the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)offered a grant in 2007,in the
amount of$149,646 to complete Phase I of the pavement design and engineering portion;and
WHEREAS,the FAA offered a grant in the amount of $73,102 to complete Phase II of
the pavement design and engineering portion;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
The City Council does hereby authorize the Mayor and City Clerk
to execute the Federal Aviation Administration's Federal Grant Application and Grant
Assurances and accept the grant to fund Phase II of the design and engineering portion of the
Runway 15/33 Resurfacing Project.
