RESOLUTION NO.3978
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH PIERCE COUNTY REGARDING
THE WASHINGTON STATE TASK FORCE 1 OF THE NATIONAL
URBAN SEARCH AND RESCUE RESPONSE SYSTEM.
WHEREAS,the Pierce County Sheriff s Department is the sponsoring agency for the
Washington State Task Force 1 of the National Urban Search and Rescue Response System;and
WHEREAS,it would be advantageous for the City of Renton to become a participating
agency in that task force;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which the City
of Renton would participate in the task force;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
SECTION II.
The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a
Memorandum of Agreement between Pierce County,as the sponsoring agency of the
Washington State Task Force 1 of the National Urban Search and Rescue Response System,and
the City of Renton as a participating agency of the task force.
