RESOLUTION NO.3870
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,\VASHlNGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEJVIENT WITH DRAINAGE DISTRICT NO.1 OF
KING COUNTY REGARDING THE S\V 34 TH STREET CULVERT
REPLACEMENT PROJECT.
WHEREAS,the City of Renton plans to replace four existing,undersized CMP culverts
with a new concrete box culvert and associated appurtenances at the 341h Street SW and
Springbrook Creek crossing as part of the SW 34 1h Street Culvert Replacement Project;and
\VHEREAS,Drainage District No.1 of King County is charged with providing
maintenance of the Springbrook Creek and would benefit from the increased conveyance
capacity provided by the new box culvert;and
WHEREAS,Drainage District No.1 of King County has offered to contribute the sum
of $50,000 toward the cost of the project;and
\VHEREAS,it is necessary to document the terms and conditions under which the
District will make its contribution to the City;
NO\V,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal agreement with Drainage District No.1 of King County,under which the District will
contribute $50,000 towards the cost of the 341h Street SW CuI veri Replacement Project.
