RESOLUTION NO.379]
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO.25.
WHEREAS,King County Fire Protection District No.25 (the "District")abuts the City
of Renton to the east,and
WHEREAS,the City of Renton has annexed a substantial amount of the territory of the
District;and
WHEREAS,the District has contracted with the City of Renton,for the last 10 years,to
provide fire service within the District;and
WHEREAS,the District and the City of Renton wish to extend the contractual
relationship for an additional two years;and
WHEREAS,it is necessary to amend the original contract between the City of Renton
and the District,with an addendum;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON,DOES RESOLVB AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
SECTIONll.
The above findings are true and con-ect in all respects.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an
interlocal agreement with King County Fire Protection District 25 to provide fire service to the
District for an additional two-year period oftime.
