RES3734CITY OF RENTON,WASIDNGTON RESOLUTION NO.3734 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON, RENAMING A PORTION OF RIVERSIDE DRIVE TO NISHIWAKI LANE IN HONOR OF RENTON'S SISTER CITY. WHEREAS,in 1969 the City ofRenton established a Sister City relationship with Nishiwaki,Japan,in order to help promote mutual understanding and good will between the United States and Japan;and WHEREAS,the City has helped to maintained its relationship with Nishiwaki through the efforts ofRenton's Nishiwaki Sister City Committee,and by periodic visits to Nishiwaki and Renton by delegations from either City;and WHEREAS,Renton has been enriched by the exchange ofideas and culture that has been provided by Nishiwaki;and WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Renton wishes to honor Nishiwaki for its long-standing Sister City relationship with the City ofRenton; NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASIDNGTON,DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTIONL SECTIONll. The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
