HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 5097CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO.5097 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ANNEXED WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM R-4 (URBAN RESIDENTIAL,4DU PER ACRE,KING COUNTY ZONING)TO R-8 (RESIDENTIAL 8 DUlAC;EIGHT DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE) (JOHNSON ANNEXATION,FILE NO.A-03-008). WHEREAS,under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2,Land Use Districts,of Title N (Development Regulations)of Ordinance No.4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton,Washington,"as amended,and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith,the property hereinbelow described has not been zoned in the City of Renton;and WHEREAS,said property owners petitioned the City of Renton for annexation and concurrent rezoning,which said annexation having previously been approved and the property annexed to the City of Renton,and the City having held two public hearings to consider this zoning application,the first hearing being held on April 19,2004,and the second hearing being held on October 18,2004;and said zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan,as amended,and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto,and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I.The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby zoned to R-8 as hereinbelow specified.The annual ordinance adopting the maps of the City's zoning ordinance is hereby amended to evidence said rezoning and the EDNSP Administrator is 1 ORDINANCE NO.5097 hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance,as amended,to evidence said rezoning,to wit: See Exhibits "A"and "B"attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. [Said property,approximately 16.734 acres,is located east of 142nd Avenue SE and west of 144th Avenue SE,if extended,and south of the midpoint of SE 11Sth ,if extended,to the southern edge of the Bigelow property,approximately 135 feet south of SE 121 51 Street.] SECTIONIL This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval,and five days after its publication.
