HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4949CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 4Q4Q AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM THE P-l (PUBLIC USE) ZONE TO RESIDENTIAL - 10 DU/AC (R-10) ZONE, WITH A P-SUFFIX DESIGNATION. (FIRE STATION NO. 13 REZONE, FILE NO. LUA-01-124,R,ECF) WHEREAS, under Section 4.2.020 of Chapter 2, Land Use Districts, of Title IV (Development Regulations) of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington," as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as P-l (Public Use); and WHEREAS, the City of Renton initiated a proceeding for change of zone classification of said property on or about September 13, 2001. This matter was duly referred to the Hearing Examiner for investigation, study, and public hearing, and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about November 6, 2001, and said matter having been duly considered by the Hearing Examiner, and said zoning request having been recommended for approval without conditions by the Hearing Examiner or by the Environmental Review Committee, and no requests for reconsideration or appeals having been received during the appeal period that ended December 27, 2001; and WHEREAS, said zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan, as amended by Ordinance No. 4855, and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; ORDINANCE NO. 4949 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Residential - 10 du/ac (R-10) Zone, with a P-suffix designation, as hereinbelow specified. The Economic Development, Neighborhoods, and Strategic Planning Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning, to wit: See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. (The City-owned Fire Station No. 13 site located at 17040 108th Avenue SE near SE 172nd Street and surrounded by unincorporated King County.) SECTION II.
